Our G98-compliant, plug-in solar kits are designed for UK homes and make it simple to start generating clean energy with no complex setup, no installer, and no hassle.
What is G98 compliance “a UK standard for safely connecting small-scale, low-voltage solar installations to the public electricity grid. It’s a simplified process designed for home systems, typically up to 16 amps per phase, and ensures that your setup is safe, reliable, and ready to integrate with the grid.”
Our kits are ‘grid-tied’ meaning, if there’s a power cut, the inverter system shuts down automatically for safety, to protect utility workers and prevent feeding back electricity into dead grid lines.

Why We Started
Homeowners across the UK want to make greener choices, but traditional solar often feels out of reach - too expensive, too complex, or too disruptive to install. We started UK Solar Kits to change that.
Together with global micro-solar leader TSUN, we’ve spent over 18 months co-developing a plug-in DIY kit tailored specifically for UK homes.
Our Founder
Jon started UK Solar Kits with a simple goal: to make solar power more accessible, affordable, and easier to use for everyone. With a background in sustainable tech and a passion for practical solutions, he was frustrated by how complex and costly traditional solar systems could be. So, he set out to create a plug-in alternative – no installers, no jargon, just clean energy you can use straight out of the box.
